I’ve been down in Cornwall for the past 3 days, so this seems all the more relevant… FaceBook now has a language option (at the bottom of the screen) called ‘English (Pirate)’ - translates the site into swashbuckling scallywag language! Nice to see the leaders of the field not taking themselves too seriously sometimes!
Not really, but Zuckerberg announced yesterday that Facebook has just passed the 100 million active users mark. That’s the equivalent of every single active internet user in China (source). Quite an achievement!

Recently, since using 1Mb of JavaScript on every website has become acceptable practice, I’ve noticed an increase in the use of light/thickbox. I don’t this is neccessarily a bad thing - it does, however, become a problem when you start introducing functionlity within those windows (baskets, forms etc).
