I was reading this article by ‘SuperAwesome’, who share my opinion that web designers should know how to code, and came across one of their comment responses - which sums it all up for me.
The point is not to do it all yourself, but just to be able to. Then you can provide an excellent service, and achieve excellent results.
Having your headings converted to a custom font is now easier than you think… and you don’t even have to go through all the hassle of sIFR!

A while back I mentioned FaceBox as a really convenient, unobtrusive popup script. The very same that Facebook use (see example) throughout their site. Although it’s very easy to use and customise… it does require the jQuery library.

I’ve been doing a bit of WordPress development recently, and I’ve finally worked out how to do something that’s been bugging me for a while. How do you automatically insert something after the first, second or third (etc etc) post? For example, showing Google ads after the second post? (more…)
