Should we do something simply because we can?
And I think this is an extremely valid question you should ask yourself when you design anything. I guess that links, in some way, to the BBC’s Web Principles which I discussed back in June - and makes me wonder If we don’t question everything - then how can we ever expect to be different?

…WHY would I want to have an annotation pop up every time I press the N key?!At least 10 times a day, every day, I end up with an annotation with a random letter on it (like when I reach, with one of my monkey-fingers, for the ‘M’ key… and miss). It’s fucking irritating - sort it out!
