I guess you’ve seen the new Twitter homepage? Apart from the fact that it’s been redesigned, what’s the first thing you notice about it?The main feature on the site is a (giant) search bar.
The point of this observation, and this post isn’t to marvel at the new homepage (I’m not all that impressed) – it’s in response to the term “two point oh” (2.0) which people are chucking around far too freely recently. 2.0 represents where we are now, so I thought I’d speculate a little on the future…

What the Bing? 09.06.09
So I’m sure you’re aware of Bing, by now. It’s Microsoft’s search engine rival to Google. Now I’m not going to rant too much about this, as I’m sure you can make your own mind up – but on using it today (after reading this post about the ‘brand’), I found that not only does it do the exact same thing as Google, in the exact same way… it looks the same too!! Surprising for a site that claims…So we had an idea. Start over. And we did.

At some point you’re going to have to design a page for A-Z listed items – and it’s the worst job in the world!
