Slide to Send 27.02.09
I was chatting to Stu this morning about reducing the amount of spam on blogs. There’s obviously a whole heap of ways people do this already, but after coming accross this… I thought that maybe it would be nice to have a “Slide if you’re Human” feature on a blog. There’d have to be some kind of javascript workaround… but it could work!!

Inside the unlock code in that tutorial there is an if (unlock()) bit of the code, which is what happens when there is a successful slide. In that you could put some jquery code that makes a hidden value 1, instead of 0. Then in the backend only post the comment if the hidden field has a value of 1.

You’d also need to think of a work-around for no javascript. Also, it won’t work on handheld (ironically, won’t work on an iPhone)… so that could be an issue!
