Stripping a man completely naked.. well, not quite.
This morning I was sent two articles about Progressive Web Enhancement (yeah, I know) - and found myself reciting my learnings in a client meeting this afternoon. So I thought I’d share..
The first article explains the theories and benefits behind what they call Progressive Enhancement - the method of splitting a website into ‘Content’, ‘Presentation’ (i.e. graphic) and ‘Scripting’ (i.e. javascript badness) levels.

And the second article explains how to use progressive enhancement in your CSS - which it actually fairly useful.
Read the first article (introduction)
Read the second article (the CSS one)
I found myself reciting some of this to a client this afternoon, so it may well be worth a read… even if you’re not into this kind of thing!
Also… A List Apart was designed by Jason Santa Maria, and is illustrated by Kevin Cornell - two extremely talented individuals, who’s portfolios I suggest you visit (feed the bear!).
